Music videos on myLot - do you listen?

I notice that everyday there are many posts which speak of music and most of them have a video attached to them too.
Do you listen to the music and/or watch the videos?
I am thinking of sharing a collection of my own favorites too but I am not really certain just how many Lotters are interested in the music posts.
Some time ago I made a collection of songs that have accompanied me this far through my life and posted them all on a Facebook page for easy reference. As I am rarely there now I might add them here.
But not if no-one listens to them...

Same here. I don't listen to them all as some are things that I either don't like or have never heard of at all.

I do try to listen to at least some. It seems to cut into my time quite a bit so answering a post takes twice as long if I need to listen to a clip. But I do try to listen to at least a few. And if I haven't listened, I never say I have.

I open the video in a different tab and let it play while I am posting- Could you do that too to save time?

@mysdianait That's a good idea. I open dozens of tabs but for some reason I haven't listened to music clips while carrying on myLotting. Thanks for the tip.

@Asylum I often listen to BBC Radio 2 on the computer while I am here Lotting, if there is nothing to listen to on television. They play many old tracks there which bring back memories.

I don't like rap either so there is none of that in my collection.
I don't even know what is in the current charts as I seem to be listening to 'ìgolden oldies' channels.

I love music and so I watch videos that are attached to posts that I find interesting. I still remember that amazing song by your son's group. I think it was called Saturday Night Mask.

Gosh your memory is fantastic!
Sadly they broke up a couple of years ago but had become quite popular with two albums released during the time that they were together.

@1hopefulman They did indeed (even though I am a little biased maybe) but they had differences of opinion which, in the end, kust led to them moving no further on.
My son expanded his business after that and no longer plays. He organises events, festivals, concerts, runs a recording studio and a music school and rents out rooms for other bands and artists to practice in so he is always busy.

I might listen if I have time and I don´t always have a lot of that believe me.
I can just about listen to a bit of music in the morning sometimes.
A few videos I will go back and watch when I can.
Same with Videos on Facebook I don´t just dive straight into them.
If I have the time and space and I like the look of it I will sit and watch for a while.

I could do but I have to power my way through this a few times. I have youtube on in a Morning sometimes but not always my Hub works on the Computer you see hence all the getting on and getting off so quick sometimes.

I do once in a while but not very often. I have other sites running in the background earning money, so I normally have my volume on mute or my speakers off depending upon whether I am using a laptop or desktop computer. If I want to watch a video, then I have to close out of the other tabs or everything just gets all garbled, which is why I do not bother most of the time. Of course, when Lambie posts his videos, then I usually do.

@mysdianait I would prefer that she make different choices in men and animals, but I know her DNA, so I guess I am just going to have to work with it and hopefully guide her towards the best in both categories.

I listen to some. It would be rude not to as I occasionally post one myself.
I have an eclectic taste, so I am bound to like at least some of the music you post. If I don't, then I'll let you know.

They were known mainly for instrumentals and of course supporting Cliff, but do you remember they represented GB at the Eurovision song contest in the 70's. Came 2nd if I recall.

They may not listen to them right away. But it doesn't mean they won't ever listen. Sometimes people are doing things and can't break the flow. But when they get a moment to chill out, they might think … time to listen to some music and remember the music you suggested.

That is possible too, I guess, though no-one who responded up to now has said that they would listen to them later. You have given me an idea though... I could make that as a suggestion in the post itself.

It isinteresting to see that the majority of Lotters do listen and/or watch those videoes. The biggest rason among those who don't is that they have little internet allowance or ptoblems with their internet.
I am now practically convinced that soon you will all be victims of my choice of music too

Nope, I don't listen. My sound is turned off on my computer. I will watch a video if it is something I wish to learn. Other than that I stay away from videos.

@mysdianait I don't like my sound on. I am in the family room where everyone else is at watching tv. Whomever is on computer must keep sound off if someone is watching tv.

But you don't have to watch it. You could just listen to the music with the video in another tab while you are posting here. Can you not turn the sound on?

I do try to check out the links in posts to get the full experience of the post! But I realize not everyone will do that. And I'm ok with it on my posts . . . I'll try to at least put the meat of my thoughts in the post itself . . . and if anyone bothers to actually watch it, I'm thrilled! Go ahead and show us your music tastes - myLot is a diverse place - even with music!

Some do and some don't and all for different valid reasons too, according to the reponses here.
I do sometimes too but not always.
I might sort out that cokkection and share it here too as each one would make a discussion. Time is not on my side though this week so it will have to wait a wee bit longer methinks

Yes I have learnt from the responses here that internet can cause problems for some and then they are unable to watch the videos. I had not considered that at all.
