It's not true that if one responds to users here they will come to our posts

I am responding to countless users' posts but I hardly see them responding to mine. One has to be fortunate to have such an arrangement. I was just reading a comment by a user here that they hardly post but respond to others' posts and they in turn respond to theirs and that is how they get to the top rated. I write many posts so that those very few that respond come to my posts and that is how my earnings go up. I am satisfied. Are you happy with your performance here? Do you have any suggestions?

I am not systematically responding to people who have responded to my discussions, but I will respond more often to them than to others. Speaking of performance, I do not start many discussions, and their success varies ; I rarely climb in the top rated, but I am globally satisfied.

After analysing what is what here I too am satisfied as I truly enjoy this place which provides me a kind of relaxation and this opportunity to interact at a global level is more than what I have asked for.

That's mostly what I do too. I certainly do that first. If I run out of posts I'll go to new users or no responses.

when a lotter responds to my discussion, i can check 2 or 3 of their discussions that i can relate to, otherwise by interacting with them through comments, is already good to show my appreciation.

I respond to posts more than I create them. It doesn't seem to bring more people to them. Some days I am very talkative and can create posts. Often I look to see if a discussion has already been made about what I want to discuss.

It's fine responding to posts but they should comment on them in order for you to earn which does not happen often

I do not consciously respond to discussions posted by people who respond to my discussions. I know that some people think that is rude, but I don't, especially since I respond to far more discussions than I start. That being said, if I have good interaction with someone, then I will tend to respond/comment to them when I see them, even if it is in a discussion started by someone else.

I am happy with my results here as they reflect the amount of time I have available to spend on the site. If you are spending the amount of time you can afford on the site and are happy with the earnings and interaction, then I'd suggest you make no changes and continue to enjoy.

That is true. Some don't seem to comment on too many posts, but write a bunch of 'stuff' daily. No clue what is up with that.

@PatZAnthony Many do not know the meaning of interaction and in the long run they are the losers as many will stop interacting with them.

Personally, I see making my own posts as gruesome work. So, I tend to avoid it most of the time. Like at the moment, I have 3-4 post ideas but I have been avoiding posting it coz then I will have to answer all responses. Unless I am ready, I will just keep answering notifications and respond to other people posts and interact in general. It works just fine for me.

There are some no matter how many times I go to their posts neither respond to my posts nor comment on my responses on their posts. But I have accepted this scenario as I get a lot of interaction from those who are regularly there.

It is true. Not everyone will respond back to one of your discussions. I do try to respond to as many posts as I can, especially to those who make an effort to respond to mine. But that still doesn't mean that everyone responds to mine. Such is life.

I do try to respond to everyone who responds to mine. The fact that you write many posts has the natural effect of dissipating the responses on them. The fewer posts you write, the more responses you will get on them. For instance - you comment on someone's post and they come to your page and find half a dozen posts to choose from. No way are they going to read them all, they perhaps respond to one or two. Whereas if you only have one recent post then the action is going to concentrate on that one, thus pushing it higher up the lists.

I have been doing this always and am quite happy with the interaction. You seem to be busy and hence have no time. It is understandable. myLot is not the be all and end all of time. Just be yourself Janet. You do not have to come to all my posts. I need to post many because my posts get buried in the recent list and many miss them. Enjoy your holiday in Spain.

@jaboUK Most depend on recent activity and such tabs. I hardly go to pages myself. And my going to pages is restricted to a small number. I am happy interacting with a few who are there on all my posts probably because they go to my page. I do expect comments on responses I post but I understand all cannot respond to my posts just as I too do not respond to all. Just a clarification. You did mention somewhere that when someone comes to your post you respond to their posts. If you have tens of responses do you go to their page to look for their posts?

@allknowing Thanks Grace. But my point is that if people come to your page they will probably just read your latest, and so whether it's buried in the lists or not is irrelevant.

The strange thing is even if they do not respond to comments users keep going to their posts. And the OP earns without helping their responders to earn which is very mean I think.

I would like to post more discussions to do better. Sometimes, due to other commitments, there are days when I do very little activity on here and just get $0.0008 back from others' interactions but this month has so far been better.

@allknowing Times of day certainly seem to play a part, the potential of posts to get long threads going (very variable from day to day), all sorts of factors.
