Purple Flower

Once in a while this kind of purple flowers bloom in our backyard. I don't know the name but it belong to the tubertuber family.
The plant grows in green leaves like gabi- a kind of plant can be found in tropical land. The flower is spoon like shape in full purple color.
The flower lives for one day. It will either in the afternoon.
I think it's a beautiful flower.

@ilocosboy Calla lily maybe . I thought it's white, the calla lilly.

That is true, this beautiful flower lives for one day and then the plant will die down also. After few months new leaves will sprout and consequently the single flower and then die down again.

It's beautiful but the flower lives only for one day. I think it's rare but it's common in our backyard that once in a while they popped out and bloom a single flower.

This is even worse because the plant lives only until the flower blooms. After the flower wither and so with the leaves. After few months it will have leaves and consequently the single flower.

@Kandae11 our Marguicha said the plant is called calla.
