My thoughts on: Toby Keith

Toby Keith While I was researching songs I don't like...  I found that I am certainly not a Toby Keith fan.  Toby, in addition to "I Wanna Talk About Me"  is also the genius who brought us these songs: "I Aint as good as I once was" - lyrics are about a drunk trying to pick up girls.  It reminds me of far too many - 4-sheets to the wind drunks who roll up and slur something like this unappreciated fact into my ear when I have no interest.  Sober up at least a little guys.... "Get Drunk and Be Someone" - Title says it all.  While the drink may give you some confidence it won't make you anything other than drunk. Predictable melody and guitar riffs. "Should have been a Cowboy"  I like the melody alright enough, but I don't get the lyrics. "Should have been a cowboy. Should have learned to rope a ride....." - yeah? Well... you, like, still can, dude! Go do it! I'm sure lots of ranches want extra help, actually... That said I do like "Red Solo Cup" and *cringe* "Honky Tonk" (yeah yeah ... I know) So he's not all bad.  He just has a really high ratio of songs I don't like.  Of course, should go without saying - you have every right to like what you like  even if I don't - and I mean no offense to anyone.  :-)

I am not really familiar with particular songs of his. Seen him in a few movies and that's about it.

I don't listen to country music much. I know Blake, but that's because of The Voice that is broadcast here @FayeHazel . Good you found some songs you like from Toby Keith. :)

Country isn't my main genre either, seems like I either really like it, or really dont

I'm actually a big fan of Toby Keith and take some of his silly songs with a grain of salt and a laugh.

@fayehazel I am not much of a fan, either. I like Bing Crosby best
