It Was Raining This Morning

The rain woke me up at 6:30AM, pounding on my bedroom window. I did not want to get up that early and tried to go back to sleep, but couldn’t, so I’m up and moving. It’s 8:30 AM now and the sun is shining, so hopefully it will be a good day.
It’s supposed to be warm today but snow is forecast for Sunday. Yuk! I can’t really complain about our mild winter, however. The weather has been amazingly warm. We did have one snow storm and some really cold temperatures, below zero, for a few days in December, but that’s about all.
Twelve days until Spring officially begins and Daylight Saving Time begins this coming Sunday. It doesn’t seem possible. The time has just flown by, it seems.
I have a friend stopping by this morning about 10:30 AM, and my daughter and I will be going to the nursing home today at 2 PM, so I need to get in the shower and get ready for another busy day.

@IreneVincent Our summer runs from December to February. Autumn is from March to May; winter June to August, and spring September to November..

Not a cloud in the sky here, nice as we had such a gloomy winter. It's howling windy today with a high of 53. Have a great day.

Illinois gets very cold weather some times. 53 isn't too bad though. Did you have a lot of snow this winter:? We just had one snow fall and a few days below zero. It was one of the mildest winters we've seen for a long time. And, believe me, I'm not complaining.

@IreneVincent We had our share of extremely cold days, but hardly any snow, I think total we had maybe 3 inches, very unusual for Illinois.

Yes, I like it when the weekend has good weather. Now that I'm retired though, I usually get all my errands done during the week, but I choose a day with good weather to go out and run errands.

It was a busy day but I did get several things accomplished. So, I am going to rest a bit tomorrow in the morning and then in the afternoon, I hope to visit the Museum near me that has a post card exhibit.

Yes between 7 and 12 March, it rained a few days and early mornings and late nights had become colder.

I wish Daylight Savings Time was year around. It seems we just "Fell back" and now we "Spring forward."

Yes, actually the weather report for our area said that we were behind on rainfall and were warning us not to have open fires outside. Two reasons. It's very windy and we haven't had enough rain.
