Are we alone in this universe.

Friends I have been thinking about this topic since my childhood. But every time I get stuck that if we are not alone then what will happen when we will meet them?

They will either be overcome with joy to meet another 'intelligent' species, or they'll consider us vermin and wipe us out.

Yes I agree with you. But If they are not that much intelligent then they might not survive in front of we humans because we will only do what we are doing with the animals on our planet. I am very much fascinated by these things and I have an aim to become an astrophysist.

I don't understand why so many people are keen to meet 'aliens' and actually go looking for them. Because you can be sure the outcome would not be good.

How can you say that? As long as they follow accepted laws to immigrate, all will be fine.

@JolietJake Surely human laws only apply to humans.

@Fleura But how do we know they will not be 'human' or possibly humanoid, at least?

I think we should be content with what exist here and with what is in our space. What is not here is never meant to be here.

I think we are not alone because there is a great certainty that there might be a planet with perfect atmospheric conditions can start life of some creatures, but more important question is that is there any other intelligent creature in universe like humans?

If we are not alone, I don't know what's the life-form out there in the first place? We are not even sure if "they" have any human form at all.

Religiously speaking, "We are not the first habitating planet and neither we will be the last." *suspense music follows*

If we are not alone and human life would be in danger, than I would love to play johns character from the terminator movie in reality.
