Cinnamon water for diabetes.

I have been checking on some of the natural meds for illness that grannies used a long time ago. It all started when Leticia came from her vacations in the south (where there are still many mapuches) and learned that her daughter, who used to have an insulin dependent diabetes had had almost normal exams lately. It so happened that she had met an old lady who told her to drink cinnamom water for diabetes. She started to do so and on her next check up the doctor was amazed. He took her offf the shots and started to use pills. Now she is only in a diet, and not so terrible. But she drinks her cinnamon water every day. I checked online and according to Google, cinnamon has those properties. I hope this new knowledge I acquired will help some of you. It will be a change of life for many.

We should go back to natural remedies that our ancestors used, they are far better than modern medicine. Of course the big pharma companies have no interest to let you use old methods.

I have my diabetes in check too but its all about not eating certain foods and not eating big plates filled at each meal, instead eat smaller portions and add snacks in between meals.

@Happy2BeMe It seems that it is boiled water with cinnamon sticks. But check the recipe online. I remember I used to give that to my children when they were babies.

Cinnamon does have a lot of health benefits. I am not diabetic - but I add it to tea, coffee, porridge, cakes etc.

Yes, I know people who swear by using Cinnamon and the pills out there as a more natural way to help with their Diabetes. Wonder where a person can get Cinnamon water as I have never heard of it, but it could be worth a try if it is not too rough.

I bought cinnamon sticks. They sell it at the supermarket. You make an infusion with boiling water. Then you can either drink it hot or cold. Check for the quantities online.

I love Canela but it does not dissolve very well in water. Does hers come up in the water all those powdery bits stuck together? Its a great idea though. Well done Leticia.
