There was a time when navigating online wasn't a problem at all. Surfing all over the web was a great experience but now it appears there's a lot of trolling and other mess going on. So going online may not be as joyous as before. That's why some choose to spend less time online. For one thing there's less privacy and with all of the hackers. Their certainly a nuisance. Spending too much time online isn't healthy anyway even a short period can feel like a long period depending on the areas visited. Some platforms are riddled with garbage. A whole lot of troublemakers and not enough inspiration. Of course it seems like complaining but really? "A lot of bullying" and what is it all for? No wonder some choose to toll out their devices some rather not have a cell phone just because they'd rather not be bothered. Surfing these days isn't as pleasant as it use to be. Always some problematic "events" taking place. Logging on and doing what needs to be done and then off. Trying to keep the mind healthy is important. Not wanting to even deal with any of the toxicity. Why are there so many dysfunctional people? Perhaps desperation is a reason whatever the reasons are they certainly exist. No doubt about it.

Yes, it was once fun. Many of us now find it 'work' (and it actually is for some of us) to get through all they have to online.

Know what you mean...They're called 'trolls'. Seems like they're so miserable that they feel the need to attack and bully anyone with whom they don't agree in discussions. They're also called 'keyboard warriors'...Cowards who wouldn't dare to say to your face what they type online. The best thing to do is to simply ignore them and move along.

I'm aware of all the negative vibes and toxicity in the internet. however for every bad post out there, there are a thousand good ones. I just choose to pay attention to the good posts over the bad ones.
