No tips make me surprised

I know people need to pay tips nearly everything here. When i eat foods at restaurants i pay the tips.I take taxi i pay the driver tips. I do the same things at many places.When i traveled to another country no tips when i finished foods in a restaurant or did my haircut .No tips make me surprised.how do you think about that ?

in some countries, they are surprised when you give them tips because it's not expected or required. they would even get embarrassed when you insist they accept it.

@Linda1234 yes, it's good to research the country we're visiting first so we know the do's and don'ts. the internet is a big help because it's now easy to find such information by ourselves.

I give tips whenever I can. I used to do it automatically but when people whine for more I opt on giving any tips at all.

@diosabella Yes that is sad the taxi driver wanted additional , It never happened to me.I don't like take txai in my city.

@Linda1234 Before I always tip the taxi driver. But when they already asked me for additional before I even settle myself inside the taxi I don't give any additional anymore. Its kind of sad really.
