New Fountain pen influenced my son

My younger son is in 4th standard now, his annual exams going on right now. From next class onwards he can use a pen in school so he told me his class teacher advised all children to start using a pen at home now so they can handle a pen well at the time of next session starts. He demands a fountain pen. Last Sunday I bought a fountain pen for him as he irritated me every minute by his demand. Soon I found out that his new pen influenced him a lot. He was weak in Hindi subject (infact he hate to learn Hindi) because he never wanted to learn it by writing so he made so many spelling mistakes while writing which resulted on getting less marks even though he knows all answers well. Now getting the new pen he becomes fond of writing and ready to write each and everything in Hindi subject. Yesterday was his paper on Hindi and I am expecting good marks this time. I never expected this kind of change in him while buying a pen. Do you or your children get influenced this way?

O that a good change and encourage him while writing with his pen. Most of the people write their own name while testing a new pen.

@shshiju Yes, if your signature is so simple then some one can easily catch it

I have been keep on telling him to learn Hindi by writing as he makes so many mistakes on writing. But he prefers to make some lame excuses to escape from writing. Yes, the pen did the wonder. I had no plan to buy the pen before his new session starts but he has the habit of asking every minute, when you will buy pen for me' which irritated me and stopping this question I bought it.

@Sreekala Wishing him all the best really do. He will get used to a Pen in time. When we were at School it was wooden one with a metal nib on it and ink that blotched all over the place. Thank goodness they changed it all.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I had seen the wooden pen but my memory is not so clear on it as I never used a wooden pen. Thank you so much for your wishes.

Oh, that's a really positive influence! Maybe he has some interest in art or drawing, and using a fountain pen allows him to produce writing that looks artistic...

All these days he used pencil for his all works because only pencil is allowed upto 4th standard. So he was eager to use a pen. Some of his friend bought and brought fountain pen in school and he become a fan of it. Anyway I am happy with the outcome

@Sreekala LOL!!!! First of all, please accept tons of thanks for reminding me of and giving me the opportunity to relive my childhood days when I,just like your son, used to be a great lover of fountain pens and got inspired to concentrate on my studies after I received a pen as a gift from my parents. The only difference was that I loved fountain pens that were black in colour, because my teacher used to have a black fountain pen too."Plato"used to be my favourite brand."Plato" fountain pens were at that time very popular.

@Sreekala WOW!! What a coincidence!!!! A very pleasant coincidencentre indeed.Once my elder brother bought me a yellow pen,but I didn't like it for it was yellow, and not black. The pen your grandparents gifted you was also black.A very pleasant coincidence indeed.I pray your little princess remains obedient to you for ever and concentrates on his studies......Thanks for a nice response.

Actually, the type of pen we use can make or make us not want to write . With a fountain pen, I surely would like to write too.

I think most children prefer ball pen rather than a fountain pan these days. I am not sure how long your son would want to use a pan!

I was also surprised with his demand. No one uses a fountain pen at home. I think he got attracted with a pen by his classmate and on using a test by himself he become interested with the pen. He also satisfied with the improved handwriting.

I had no idea that the things will turn positively. If I promise something then he has the habit of keep on asking the same till he gets so I just bought to make him silent but it turned really worthy for his exams.
