Lemon Bars

United States
March 11, 2017 6:04pm CST
I have a great homemade recipe that I've always used, but in a pinch bought a mix last fall when it was on a closeout sale. I haven't gotten around to making it all this time. My baking days are in the past, but got it out this morning and scrounged up 3 eggs and a third cup water. Yes, that was all I needed, haha It turned out great, as good almost as my homemade. I had a nice size piece this afternoon and I'm no longer hungry for lemon anything. I wonder if lemon bars freeze?

I like lemon bars and lemon meringue pie and homemade lemonade and lemon sugar cookies. A few weeks ago, I had a lemon roll. Didn't like that too well.

If it has lemon in it, I love it.

I don't see why not, I would just wrap the individually so ou can have one when you want it and I bet they are good for 6 months. I just finished up my piece of cake tonight from Tuesday, that was one big piece of cake but so good.

I'm going past there in May on my way to NC and I'm stopping! I'll probably take a piece of cake with me too.

Almost everything can be frozen, so my answer would be yes!

I love lemon bars, everything with cream filling does not freeze very well.

@Jeanniemaries Try with a small piece and check if it works. At least if it does not work it's only a small piece.

I haven't seen a lemon bar. I would love to taste it. I just knew that it is used for garnish in certain menus.

i think as long as they stay frozen they're good. i think what spoils food is temperature changes, like taking it out, it thawed completely, but you decide not to use it/eat it, and put it back.

@hereandthere I know, I always thought I would do the more complicated stuff when I had all the time in the world to play around. Nope. Sill don't like cooking all that much.
