1958 – Perry Como gets a Gold record for “Catch A Falling Star” after it sold a million copies. 1959 – The album “For LP Fans Only” by Elvis was at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 chart. It was the first album to be released without the artist’s name on either the front or the back of the cover. 1964 – Diane Renay had a hit with “Navy Blue”. 1970 – The Supremes come out with their first song without Diana Ross “Up the Ladder to the Roof”. 1987 – Huey Lewis and the News come out with their third number one record in the U.S. “Jacob’s Ladder”.
