Have neither seen the Film or read the Book sorry.
There are many women of substance that I can think of.
For example my Auntie Gladys who was my Godmother lived next Door.
That is for me my Woman of Substance.
Also Helen Keller and a Polish Lady that rescued no less than t,000 Children out of the Ghetto In the Second World War.
They broke her legs and arms but she lived till she was 98 and all the children she rescued went on to live and have Famiy.
Very courageous Woman indeed.

Something like courage to live how I have had to live and to go on having the same courage as they had.
Not on their scale of course but a bit like it at least for me it is.

Even I think that woman is not inspiring. Smoking does not make a woman, a woman of substance (lol) Anyone you know who is one?
