Friends for Life was written by Jan Fennell in 2003, it tells the story of Jan`s life and how she became an expert on dog behaviour. She has written about how to look after your dog and how to understand your pet`s behaviour. Friends for life is more about Jan`s own life including many personal subjects including her family. From her own unconventional childhood , growing up as an only child but with a large extended family. Jan`s life found her living in London as a child and then going to live in the countryside where she brought up her children and several dogs over the years. I like looking after dogs for other people even though I do not have a dog of my own. So when I found this book for sale in a charity shop , the subject appealed to me because I love reading anything about dogs, and I also like reading true stories about other people`s lives. I read this book over a couple of days because it was so good and I did not want to put it down.

I'm an animal lover and any book about dogs is right up my alley. I'll have to check out Jan's book.

The story is captivating... It's always captivating if we can relate to the story.
