Hat parade for St Patricks Day

Tomorrow it is St Patricks day. He is the fellow who rid Ireland of snakes.... At school we will be having a special St Patricks ( Irish ) themed lunch . The children have also been asked to make a hat at home and bring it in to school. During the afternoon the parents have been invited to sit in the hall as class by class the children do a hat parade. Prizes will be given but it is the taking part that they enjoy. We will also be finding out a lot more about St Patrick.

I can't abide, or understand, St Patrick's Day. It's okay for the Irish, but why on earth is it celebrated around the world by the non-Irish. Even in America it seems to be a huge event! *sigh* Ho9e the kiddies enjoy their hat parade!
