A-Z of Me

An idea borrowed from @MALUSE :) I'll separate posts separately so they are separated. I'll write until I get bored, then I'll put another post with some other letters on another day. So, here's a little about me in alphabetical order: A is for Arty: OK, I admit, I am not particularly good when it comes to art but I do enjoy it, along with various crafts. I haven't done much of anything like that lately, though. I do enjoy painting, and I enjoy performing arts too. More watching than participating, although I used to be in a youth theatre (which my eldest son is in now). B is for Bachelor of Arts: I completed a BA (Hons) in English last year. Although I was disappointed with the final grade, I was pleased that I had achieved the desired task of actually completing it, and sticking to the same subject and the same goal for five years. Also, as my other half pointed out, there were a lot of things going against me as well as the fact that I was raising children, working, and caring for various people at different intervals. I believe that, had I been with my current other half for all of the time, I would easily have done better. C is for Children: I have four of them. Well, I gave birth to two of them (I call them Mini and Midi). The other two are my other half's blood child (T, which stands for her nickname, not her real name) and the one he took on as his own when she was a baby (C). All four are growing up. Well, the girls are grown up at 23 and 20. C is getting married in a few months and she has two babies of her own. T is at college studying to become a vet. Midi is taking maths, further maths, and physics at college and intends to go to university and become a science teacher. He's also recently won an award for contribution to youth theatre, for which he'd been nominated eight years in a row so I told him it was about time he won it! The youngest is Mini. He's 11 and, just this week, was reinvested as a Scout after having been a Cub for over two years. That's where he is now. Midi is at his Dad's as he lives there during the week because it's closer to college. D is for D: D is my other half. He actually does call himself D. That's mainly because he doesn't like his actual name. Also because he has DID, which means, basically, that there are two of him. Like a split personality. The two personae each have a slightly different variant of the same name but both begin with D, and they are both happy to be called D. He also has various other physical and mental health issues. He is, essentially, falling to pieces. Before he asked me out, he sat me down and, more or less, said 'here are the things that are wrong with me, some girls can't cope with that'. Well, I've put up with him for almost three years, engaged for almost a year. We are looking for a place together, but that's difficult with limited funds and restrictions on types of accommodation because of his physical disabilities. He is lovely, though. When we met, neither of us were looking for a relationship. I was enjoying being single and he was still grieving the passing of a partner. We have a lot in common and, although I tease him by saying I chose him for his nice bum and kept him for his OCD, there are lots of other reasons why I'm with him. I'm not always sure why he puts up with me, though! Well, he has always said I just accept him. He's not perfect, of course, but he is perfect for me. I could talk all day about him, but I won't. :) E is for Eclectic: This word covers various things with me. I have eclectic tastes in music (rock and roll, new romantic, indie, metal, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, some pop, easy listening, some classical, etc. I'll listen to most things) and entertainment (my favourite TV and film genres are sci-fi and comedy but I enjoy lots of others, and I also enjoy theatre and live music concerts), I consider myself an eclectic witch ( I don't follow any particular path but take the things that make sense to me), my hobbies are many and varied (fretwork, non-fiction writing, poetry, needlecrafts, board games, roleplay), and I like to try new and different things whenever I can. The last different thing I tried was a skydive. That was about a year and a half ago now. I don't think I will do it again but I do think it will soon be time to try something else new and different. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx That's all for now. I'll be back. TTFN

Thank you. It does surprise me when people say any of my discussions are interesting, but especially when it's about myself! :)
