I know what I was doing / myLot

Do you know what you were doing 50 years ago today. Funnily enough I know exactly what I was doing. I was getting married to my hubby who was a sailor in the Royal Navy. Now here we are 50years later still going strong. Even at the Golden Wedding stage of our marriage, he still has the ability to surprise me and he still opens the car door for me when I am getting in or out of the car. I hope the next 50 years do not fly by as such a fast pace.

Very sincere and hearty congratulations to you both. That is wonderful! My husband still opens car doors too. We'll reach 46 years in September so we're getting closer to the big 5 0.

@LadyDuck I'd forgotten that. Your birthday and wedding anniversary are both around Christmas time I think. Our anniversary is 11 September, not that we'd forget it after the twin towers disaster.

Thanks @sueznewz2 for the congrats I think it will be if not even better lol... I have been blessed with the gift of enjoying the time of life that I am living. Each stage of life I go through seems to be better than the one before.

Congratulations. I was only 10 and couldn't tell you what I did on March 18, 1967. There are other days in 1967 that I could...we went to watch a parade on July 1.....I had German measles....now I'm horrified...three of us went into crowds of people. Yikes!
