Chuck Berry, who with his indelible guitar licks, brash self-confidence and memorable songs about cars, girls and wild dance parties did as much as anyone to define rock ’n’ roll’s potential and attitude in its early years, died on Saturday. He was 90. I did not realized that he was this old. I remember him well. More stories will be coming out soon. Listen to him wail on the guitar.

Yeah, " go Johnny go go go" very popular, we jammed this song in our park when l was a teen. Another one is " my ding-a-ling", very funny song. R.I.P. Chuck.

My mom didn't think he was old, but to me 90 is old, because he is older than me. I hadn't heard a thing about him in years, so I didn't know he was still alive. I only remember when I was a child hearing his son My Ding a Ling, I thought it was the funniest thing I ever heard.

@amadeo Yes, I don't really like saying old, because to a 20 year old , I am considered old, and the word old offends some.

Sad, but he lived a long life - especially with his lifestyle being so turbulent.

oh how sad. I remember being amazed with him when I was only a youngster and I'd see him on TV. He's the true epitome of rock 'n roll!

Even though Chuck Berry was before my time, I admired his music. He went the distance and made our lives better for it. Rest in peace Chuck. Thanks for the memories.
