Freezer Meals

No its not what you think, its nothing pre-packaged that you buy. Its my freezer meals! Last year it was just me and Tony for the holidays so I made freezer meals with ALL the left overs. Tonight we had turkey breast with homemade dressing/stuffing and giblet gravy, green beans from the can.I did not have any cranberry sauce so we had strawberry jam instead. We really enjoyed this meal, again, and we will again because I made more than one freezer meal for the future. Another wonderful thing for me was I did not have to stand and cook, just open it and warm it up. Do you save leftovers for future meals?

There are things that I make in larger quantity just to freeze them in portions. I always freeze lasagne, eggplant Parmigiana, stews and some soups.

We do it too. We will eat leftovers but after the second day we will make freezer meals with the leftovers to enjoy at a later time.

I don't freeze 'meals' but there is always packs of frozen leftover turkey or ham or something. I like to make some fresh stuff to go with the frozen since I have time. Now I'm wondering if we have any turkey....time to check.

There are some meals that are frozen immediately. When I make lasagna...my recipie makes two.....I've tried to cut the recipie in half but it just wasn't the same....now I just make two and put one directly into the freezer.

We certainly eat leftovers but we don't always freeze them for later. It's a good idea though.

Yes, I do indeed freeze our leftovers for future meals and I am very glad to have them when I don't feel like cooking.

Yes I do, I try to never throw any thing out. Left over veggies are turned into soup and rice is turned into fried rice and veggies. Left over squash is made into squash and cornbread dressing. We don't eat meat.
