All this nice weather got me thinking of picnics

Do you like to go on picnics? My fiance and I love to have picnic lunches as soon as the weather gets nice enough to eat outside. We will pack a lunch and find a nice private place along the river's edge and have ourselves a picnic. Sometimes we go to the beach and other times we will find a place close to the Harbor so we can watch the cruise ships. We usually do that when we have picnics on our lunch break from work.
What starts out an a picnic can sometimes end up as an overnight camping trip. We always have the tent packed in the car because we just never know where we may end up. lol
The picture is of my granddaughter Destinee when we went to Jellystone Park a few years ago. She is sitting in Yogi's pic-a-nic basket!!

That is wonderful. My parents did too. Those are some of my most wonderful childhood memories.

@Happy2BeMe nowhere around here to go on picnics. besides the beaches and i hate the beach. Plus my bf dont do things like picnics.

@Happy2BeMe Summers are so beautiful up North. I used to love them then. Hot, sticky, buggy and endless is the story in Central VA.

When we travel more than 4 hours we usually have a picnic type lunch with us. But other than that no picnics.unless you count at the picnic table in the backyard. We aren't campers by any stretch.

that reminds me, once many moons ago we camped at something like Jellystone park, and I was the right size to sub for their staff Yogi, so I wore the costume and got drove around to wave at the kids
