A Nice Day for Walking

We had a beautiful sun shiny day for the first day of spring.And also a busy one. My better half had a doctor's appointment and also one for physical therapy. I had him drop me off at the park and I had a good long walk. Almost up to my usual two miles. I went further today than since my surgery. And I will go the full distance on Wed. It was so nice walking in the woods. Tiny leaves are putting out and the wild honeysuckles vines are running everywhere. Kids were wading in the creek. Some were playing ball and some were just running and playing. I had to wait awhile for my better half and picked up a book from the book box to read. I found a nice bench in the shade. I didn't have time enough to read much of my book before my better half rolled up. It's a good book, The House on the Hill. I don't recall the author but it's about scandals at the white house and politicians. It's a book of fiction but the author said he studied our history and it's actually things that's happened but of course all names are changed. I will take some of my paper back books to leave in the bookbox on Wednesday. I love the bookbox. And I hope more people will take then out and read.
