I got thrilled by National Anthem

Since supreme Court ordered to play national anthem in theatres I was wondering why the rules are not followed and it is not played whenever I go to watch any movie. But last Sunday when I went to watch a movie, the moment I reached my seat the national anthem was played. It felt so amazing as all the people standing on their places and me and my family singing too with the track. I was thrilled by the experience. Have you ever felt the same?

When I was young the National Anthem was always played in cinemas and we would all stand while it played.

@Bodyandbrain They don't do it in cinemas. They often do before a big sporting match especially if it is against another country.

We feel proud when our National Anthem is played, irrespective of the place. Now, it has been made compulsory for the theaters to play National Anthem before the start of a movie, therefore, at least in theaters located in New Delhi and NCR play it. If I have gone to see a movie, I make sure that we reach in time. As soon as the National Anthem starts playing we stand up and pay our respect to it.

@Bodyandbrain Yes, many people reach late or even after National Anthem has been played. You are right that if everyone in the theater rises together during playing of National Anthem it creates a kind of bonhomie.

Yes reaching in time is very important because they play it as soon as the door is open and few people entered. It creates a kind of bonding in the people present there.

@Bodyandbrain I agree with you. We went to a movie last month and we were a little bit late. We thought we would miss the movie but the moment we entered into the theatre National Anthem was played and I got goosebumps. I sang it with my whole heart along with the people around there. It really felt good.

That is mandatory here. In theaters and some time back it was mandatory for all radio and tv stations to play the national anthem before they started broadcasting.

@Bodyandbrain But initially there are more reports in daily that some people dishonored the anthem by not standing while playing it.

@shshiju yes that's true and it will be happening as not everyone is well mannered and mindful. But there is no rule to punish them just we all are expected to be sincere enough.

According to supreme Court orders national anthem will be played in theatres and people should stand in respect of anthem and the nation but if someone does not stand no punishment is entailed.

@avi256 ha ha ha Believe me I live in Gurgaon and people do not shout that in theatres. When we celebrate our national days and do Dwaja Rohan and sing national anthem then definitely every one shout that.

@Bodyandbrain Hyderabad and yes. Before anthem is started they display a slide to raise and respect the anthem. Generally after the anthem is complete we hear a cheer and claps from people in theatres

Similar situation is faced by me in some other place, but not on movie theatre. Though PM says that it should be played in all movie theatre but no one in our place is practicing it.
