I have some beef I am going to marinate for supper tonight. I originally bought it for jerky, but instead will cook it for a meal with some veggies.
Hubby suggested that I would marinate it and add lots of garlic, so my home made red basil vinegar is a part of the marinade.
Right now, it is still cloudy and a bit dim outside. Since hubby is out the door and cannot turn on the water in the kitchen and freeze me, I am going to have a warm shower and probably take a nap. It is vacation after all. I have been up about three hours.
I hear a variety of birds greeting the day and I cannot identify them all.
Today I hope to meet some of my expectations for inside the house. That would include moving a shelf unit.When it warms up this afternoon I may do some outdoor things as well.
Besides visiting here, I am swagging a bit. I may look into some other income to make up for the fact I am not working this week. I will see if I can find some freelance articles to write. I will need a plan for the summer.
There are some garden catalogues I want to look through as well. I want grape vines in my yard for sure.

Hope you enjoy your vacation. Sounds like you are. My grandmother had a Concord grape arbor in the yard. The grapes were so tasty.

My grandmother did as well. One of the houses we rented had purple grapes and dewberries across the back fence, and lots of wasps that loved the fruit.

@GardenGerty ......We had yellow jackets. Grandma had blackberries, black caps, raspberries, rhubarb, currents, apricots, prunes and pie cherries as well as the grapes.

@GardenGerty yes i can understand. I hope that you are able to get the grape vines in your yard. I have a garden where i grow my vegetables. Picking them up brings me so much pleasure

yeah, that summer stuff is why I plan on trying to keep D store on, with really low hours during the school year if possible

I did not put ginger in this one. I have done one with ginger. I am going to make a stir fry with some ginger, for tomorrow, so I did not want to duplicate. I know I will have peppers and tomatoes and I want to plant some fruit shrubs and trees. I want squash and cucumbers as well.
