They are messing with the customer

Our mechanic asked us to check at the Wal Mart in a different town for a certain kind of paint. He has gotten it in the past at Wal Mart. Now they do not carry it. I have had the same problem with a color and type of spray paint myself. He just needs a tiny bit more to finish his project, and is concerned that it will not match if he uses a different brand or even a different type from the same company. Hubby and I have looked in at least six different stores. I have looked online. Online says it exists and suggests stores for it. It is not there. I can order an entire case online. Not happening. I looked on Amazon, there are other colors but not the gloss black our friend needs.I imagine he will try another Krylon gloss black and hope it matches up. That is part of what I have been doing instead of my stuff. I think the paint works and covers too well and they are not making money with this one. It covers, adheres well and only needs a single coat.

It reminds me of tiling the floor while constructing the house. We did keep a few spares specially the bathroom tiles. What we have now is no longer available in the market.

That is exactly the kind of problem. I could also go on about tiles in this house, but I will not. There is one room that is totally odd. I have not looked for replacements, though.

It's a pity when that happens... is it a big project if he has to repaint the whole thing because he can't get the paint to match...?

It is a component of a motorcycle he is rebuilding. I cannot remember what part he said, because I am clueless about most of the parts. I get the impression that it is a small part.

Oh, sometimes blacks can be hard to match . . . oh if there was only that ONE bit of spray paint available somewhere! I hope the substitute you find matches up well!

Yes, there are about four kinds of gloss black Krylon paint, and he had Super Maxx. We cannot seem to get it.

@GardenGerty I wonder what might happen if you tried to ask the company/brand . . . someone's got to have a stash of it!!

Hope it works and the new paint matches. Its so frustrating when you're so close to finishing a job and run out of paint

He will give it a try. He will pick what he wants to substitute. We have looked in two different towns besides McPherson where he looked first.

It's a shame he only needs a small amount and can't find the right paint.

Yes, it is. He said that the aluminum is showing around the sight window, but for the life of me I cannot remember what it is he is painting. It is a part of a motorcycle he is rebuilding.
