~Went Better Than Expected~

Hey everyone. I hope your day has gone well. My day was okay, better than most Wednesdays so I'm grateful for that! I'm going to be heading to bed soon since I didn't sleep much last night. I'm so tired. I'm watching the same boy tomorrow too. His mom said she would use me for date nights too when they need one. =) Everything went well with watching him except that he's the pickiest eater ever! Not a big deal though, we managed. He doesn't like cereal! That is strange to me, Lol. My children would eat cereal for every meal if I let them!

Sometime a bowl of cereal is just what I want for dinner. My oldest was picky but seems he is more open to trying things now that he is grown.

How much do you charge a day for each child? I like cereal. I could do that. Haha. Glad you are getting the business. I recall when you first moved there you were afraid you wouldn't get any busy.

@celticeagle I charge $25 for each child. I love cereal too! Lol. I have never seen a child that doesn't like cereal so it threw me off for a second. Yeah, I'm just doing the very occasional sitting for now-staying away from full time care.

@LovingMyBabies .....Yeah, I can see where the full time care can really put you in a bind with your personal life. And the $25 is for all day one time charge?

His parents must really cater to his picky tastes if he doesn't like cereal!

@Juliaacv Absolutely and I think that is where some of it comes from-he's allowed to be so picky. His dad was glad to hear that I made him eat what he asked for.

@LovingMyBabies It is interesting at times to meet those who will eat almost anything not moving, and those a bit more concerned about what we serve.

I have always hated cereals too, but this is normal because kids in Italy have not the habit to eat cereals.

@LovingMyBabies Not many Italians like cereals, this is not something we used to eat. In our days may be (very may be) they are a bit more popular among young people, but I am not really sure.

@Courtlynn Probably right. This was the first little one I have met that didn't like it and I have been providing childcare for more than 17 years! Lol It shocked me. A lot of parents will tell me they don't eat this or that and most of the time I have found that's because they don't have to at home.

@Courtlynn Exactly. Kids will push with their parents but do fine with other people when they know what is expected of them.
