THAT Has More Bacteria Than A Toilet?

I heard it on the radio this morning. But for me it was no surprise since I had heard it several years ago. Just think. Every time you use these devices it may equal the same as if you stuck your hand into your toilet. Isn’t that a beautiful thought? And one of these devices is just a few inches from your mouth! (You can add your “eww,” “gross,” “yuck” or whatever here.) I have never experienced a “swirly.” But what would you think if using your cellphone was almost as bad? Yes, your cellphone has more bacteria on it than a toilet. And the tv remote is even worse according to the radio report. Your computer keyboard carries a lot of bacteria as well. That is if you are not keeping it clean. The best thing to do is wash your devices once in awhile. Even though the radio did not suggest a way of washing these devices I think one of the disinfectant wipes would work well. You never want to submerge your device or spray it with a liquid since that can damage your device. And never ever put any of these devices in a microwave for any reason no matter what you have heard. An alternative would be to use a soft cloth sprayed with a disinfectant. Or possibly a damp cloth. Whatever you use, wash your devices now and again–unless you like carrying around a toilet in your pocket.

Obviously, most people have a good immune system or they'd all be ill what with using gadgets all the time.

You mean I can't just throw all the devices in the dishwasher? We wipe down our stuff, but admittedly not as often as we probably should . I don't like to use chemical products, so I go for vinegar and water whenever possible.

@RichardMeister I drink it too. Well, a bit of apple cider vinegar in my water.

I do wash all of these things but not as often as I should. I should start doing it once a week at least.

When mobile phone falls in the toilet = Huge biohazard! That's fascinating though, glad to know I train my immune system everyday.

@Bluedoll Bugs? Thought we were talking of bacteria. Well, some bacteria work in our body, food and environmental industry. Some are good, surely.

The thing is, we need bacteria, germs to survive so I don't give it much thought. It is a delicate balance of life.

Yes, we have good bacteria and bad bacteria. But you would never catch me eating anything out of a toilet.

Good advice here. My keyboard doesn't get cleaned too often but I don't have a cell phone so that's a good thing in this regard.
