Life does not always work as planned.

I would not have thought I would be living this life ten years ago. I fell into the chair a few days ago. I was here with my aide. Today I was watering plants and fell into the air conditioner unit. I did not get upset at all. It's life for me now so I was also not about to feel sad. I had a while to process my new life.. To be honest I am living it the best I can. I just hope not to hit the floor in front of my aide. I would be shame in a bad way. Today, I am blessed in more ways then one. I am happy even in a life that was not planned. Living the best I can of this life is my new plan.

I'm sorry to hear that you were having a hard time. Hopefully things get better for you. But like you said, life doesn't always go as we plan.

Falling is nothing to be ashamed of. The important thing is to safegaurd yourself so as not to become injured. Why are you falling? Are you dizzy? Do you trip over things? If we find out the WHY, we might can do some things to make it not as likely to happen again.

I get dizzy a lot and fall at times. I also pass out due to something called syncope. it's not long just about5 minutes.

@sharon6345 Do you know what causes your syncope? Is it heart related or ear related?

@cindiowens Anxiety related being that mind triggers like a heart attack.

There would be no reason to be ashamed. The aide is there to help you and has seen people in much, much worse situations. My 88 year old grandma with 1 leg who had to wear adult diapers had an aide. See? Yours has it easy compared to my grandma's!

@sharon6345 Just don't be ashamed of your condition. It is what it is and accept help from your aide. That is what she is there for.

I will get better with it in time. Right now it would crush me to fall out in front of her. Having her scared and 911 called would upset me.

@sharon6345 I am sure it would not only upset you but upset her as well because she don't want to see you fall and get hurt.

Ten years ago I never would have expected to hear you are in this kind of shape. I think it is so wonderful that it doesn't stop you and you keep on with that hopeful attitude and enjoying life as much as you can!

I am happy that you have that aide there sharon. Yes getting dizzy or off balance can be very bad, but you certainly have a strong spirit and are making the absolute best of your life, proud of you friend.

Falling is not something you should take it so lightly. Is there no cure?
