Easter will be Here Soon

I used to love Easter when the Grandkids were little. We always dyed eggs and had an egg hunt in our yard. It was so much fun seeing the little ones get so excited over their egg hunts. Some would want their eggs made into stuffed eggs and some would keep their colored eggs for weeks. I miss that time when they were little. I'm very proud of them. My youngest grandchild is in tech school and the others are married with young families of their own. I miss the times when they were small and loved spending time with grandmother. We really should appreciate our kids, they grow up and move on faster than you think.

I have similar memories of my grandchildren hunting for eggs on Easter. Time is just going by too fast and my grandchildren aren't little anymore (youngest is 7 and oldest 22 with eight others in between) I also miss the days when they were young

Mine spent a lot of time with me and continued even after most kids think they are too old to spend time with family. We spent most of the summers swimming and exploring. But life catches up with us all.

I think it would be fun. I had only tried this once at the age 5. It is not that popular in my country.

@RubyHawk I am jealous of these kids. If my little niece will grow more than her age, I will organize to easter egg hunt.

Time does fly, it seems like just yesterday they were little. It's hard to believe they are grown,.

I think that this is life and there is nothing we can do to change this.

@RubyHawk I know and it was the same thing we did, no time for our grandmothers when we had our family.

No, we cannot change life. We can only appreciate what we have. I still appreciate mine but they do have lives of their own. The're not grandmothers little ones anymore.

I pray that I am around long enough to see them grow up and have families of their own. Your photo is precious!

@RubyHawk They are so darn good looking! I hope to be around. I'm sure they will be just as precious as adults, too. I'd love to see what becomes of them.

I laughed reading your post. Just a week ago, my youngest daughter asked her 26 year old daughter when would she stop expecting to find eggs in the garden I guess that anyway most of the chocolates go into Sofia´s tummy. Vicente doesn´t like chocolate much and Carolina is more of a helper.

Yes. I love the chocolate too. I don't have an excuse to buy it now.

Hunting for easter eggs is not that popular in our country but missing kids I suppose is a common phenomena (lol)

I think so, although i know grandparents that hardly know their grandchildren. It's a loss to the kids and the grandparents.

That's what I think when I see grandparents always busy and have no time for grandchildren. they don't know what they're missing.

Everyone I know who has children and/or grandchildren says the same thing. I've never had children of my own and at this stage in my life, I really miss having grandchildren around. Easter sure is a wonderful time for the little ones!

They grow up in the blink of an eye. At least it seems that way when you look back.
