Ten Favorite Drunk/Hangover Songs: Thanks to Tequila (#6)

Happy first day of the week! Here's another one of my favorite songs about having a hangover or being a little too drunk. I hope nobody's feeling the after-effects of such a scenario today! Here's the next song on the list. #6: Thanks to Tequila - Dale Watson A Dale Watson song about drinking?! Say it isn't so!!! Well, he lies when he drinks...and he drinks a lot. From his drinking-est album yet, El Rancho Azul, comes a tale of knowing how much of one sort of alcohol you can hold but quickly realizing that doesn't translate to other types of liquor ("I should've stuck to beer, where I'm more evenly impaired"). The results are terrible, both at the moment when he's trying to talk to a woman ("when I tried to apologize it came out 'I've got lice'") and the next morning ("even hurt me to blink my eyes"). This is a humorous look at an awful feeling (my one adventure into smash-faced drunkenness was...thanks to tequila).
