The thunder, lightening and rain are reinforcing the notice from the weather persons of severe weather.
It is to be expected, it is Spring. We are getting our April showers early.
I am enjoying popcorn, something I have not done in ages. I just have not bothered. Two years ago my sister got us a hot air popper. I think we used it once or twice then we got busy moving.
Popcorn fills you up, and if you do not put a ton of butter on it it is pretty healthy. I threw some of one of my spice blends on it, with some butter and some salt. It is tasty.
I hope you are having a good day and some tasty snacks as well. I think an apple would taste perfect with this.

I have been trying to clean out some cupboards so that I can take them down and put them elsewhere. That popcorn popper kept looking at me, so I put it to use.

@JudyEv Oh, so you are getting a stockpile for the winter. I would love to have a fire pit fire, but it is too wet. Until the rain it was too dry. You cannot win.

We used to have a hot air popper too. I put yeast on mine. Tasty. No tasty snacks. I wish there were some.

I have not seen yeast as a sprinkle for popcorn, that is a totally different idea to me. Just the kind in the jar, or what. I have heard of amino sprinkles.

@JamesHxstatic I hear the fires are some of the worst in history. Lots of property and cattle lost. Now lots of good neighbors pitching in to try to help restore fences, and homes, and feed stockpiles until the pastures regrow.

I hope you wee in Iowa for a fun and pleasant reason. Mostly we are having quiet rain as far as I can tell. Certainly no tornado like weather.
