I had taped Robin William's autobiography awhile ago and just watched it tonight. It was so sad and funny as that man was so talented. What a shame it ended bad.
Tears kept falling from my eyes when I watched him entertaining our troupes overseas during so many Christmas holidays. He helped so many people in his lifetime.

@ramapo17 Your have surely read what his widow said. Robin Williams killed himself because he was suffering from debilitating brain disorder and he only had three years to live. Some people prefer not to suffer and make other suffer for their conditions. I can understand that very well.

i liked him in "good morning, America", "Jumanji", and that movie where he played the role of a gay parent? the theme song or soundtrack was "we are family". i forgot the title.
i read also that he did not die of illness, but depression. is this true?

@ramapo17 i sympathize with his family and fans as well, because the real cause of his demise seems to be unclear.

Very sad that his life ended that way. He entertained and made people laugh so many years.

I watched that as well. I think he just felt his life as he knew it was over, and he may have been right..but it was sad and tragic nonetheless...He was a great talent and meant well as a human being for sure.

It is too bad that things ended the way they did, but he made the choice. Many of us appreciated him and his humor, as well as his not so humorous side.
