My daughter is a sushi lover and on her Birthday she decided to make her own sushi for her guests . . .
Let me just tell you, there is a lot of preparation that goes into sushi and next time you dip a Maki or a California roll into the soy sauce and munch it, hear my words - ITS a lot of hard work!!
The rice had to be made in the morning, cured with the vinegar rice and then left to sand and room temperature covered with a wet cloth to prevent it from drying out. As sushi should be eaten super fresh - she started at about 5pm for her quests that were arriving at 6pm.
It was fast rolling, salmon was kept chilled all the time - Trout the same, avo had to be cut just the correct way - in strips as too the carrots and courgettes for the vegetarians. What a Fiasco!
Luckily she was done on time and TA-DA Sushi was served.
Well done M - you are indeed a Sushi Home style Chef!

The rice is the most important part of the sushi preparation and an already prepared rice sounds very weird to me. I make sushi at home often because my niece is a fan of sushi. All the young people now seem to love only this Japanese food.

Wow that is a lot. I love suhi and sashimi too. But I do not know how to make sushi. Just know how to eat them.
