A british woman was found to be put behind the bars for 8 weeks for playing Ed Sheeran song at a very high volume for more than 30 minutes. In the court procedural the Judge mentioned this is an unacceptable level of disturbance. Have you ever faced such situation in your life? Pic Courtesy goes to "Hollywood Reporter"

No I haven't heard anything similar! I am very careful and try not to disturb my neighbors because I am expecying the same from them. We have silence hours during the day, It is 15:00 to 17:30 and 23:00 to 7:00 for the summer period that just started. If someone reports loud noises during these hours, the police comes and they can make an arrest after a couple of official warnings.

@subhajitsil6 With or without the law, we should be careful with noises, I agree. This law is officially posted on the website of the police in my country and if someone feels disturbed they can make a call and report their neighbors. It can be annoying if someone has a house party in the evening and the guests are noisy, but in general it is a good law.

This law is incredible. Though we don't have any such laws, but still we try to make sure that no one is disturbed by the noise we are making until it is a special occassion or so.

@besweet yeah indeed it is a good law. Our happiness must not be the cause of someone elses sadness

I don't think that the name of the musician is of any importance. Any music played too loud is a nuisance.

That is really odd. Just a slap on the wrist would have been enough.

Even I thought that way, to put someone behind the bars for this silly reason makes the punishment gose down. Then what will they punish if someone stole a bike?

I don't think she was jailed for playing Ed Sheeran but for excessive loud noise disturbing neighbors. As a victim of such loud TV/music players, I applaud her punishment. People have an F you attitude when you dare complain about their outrageous noise.

Yeah ofcourse she was punished for playing sounds at a real high pitch. And may be she was also warned. But putting behind the bars perhaps were more than needed.
