Outing and food trip

I work night shift this week. I got back from work, ate breakfast and went to bed. Then my sister knocked on my door. She asked me whether I wanted to tag along with our family outing. After blinking, thinking and fighting back the feeling to return to the bed, I said yes. After looking at the clock, I realized I only slept for an hour or so. Hah But since I already promised, I get ready and tag along with them. I won't be driving anyway, her husband would. It was a journey for food as we went to eat currently famous seasonal food. We had to search for the restaurant using Waze. Then we went to Padang Besar, which is near Malaysia and Thailand border for shopping. It's window shopping for me as my salary is on 5th each month. Before returning, we even stop at a famous eatery. Wow, we did ate a lot yesterday. After all the adventure, I slept like a log at 9. *I tried to upload a picture here but I failed. So no picture then EDITED this is glutinous rice with mango. The mango is popular as it's the special produce of the state. It only grow during the hottest season, which is why it's a must eat if you're in the area. The last time I wanted to buy one, it cost around RM46/kg. Too expensive....

Yes, it is. But I love the night shift as I am less pressure at night shift instead of day shift. Day shift is more hectic as the production lines try to catch on their production target.

I just love mangoes when I can get some good ones. Most of the time they are awful as I think they do something to them before they are allowed to enter the country.

It's glutinous rice with mango. The mango type only grow during the hottest season in Perlis. It's really famous. Currently I saw it being sold at RM46/kg.

@sol_cee the mango was not sweet enough. It still has the sour taste to it. But I did stopped for cendol on my way back. It's not seasonal food but this was really yummy.

I don't have supermodel's figure But eating a lot was going to be a problem. I make up to that by taking less calories the next day. And a glass of lime juice.

I did have fun, even with having panda eyes for not sleeping enough I think I'll go again to that place in the nearest future. I didn't buy anything since I was saving up. I already have lots in mind to purchase when I go again.

Which is why I joined despite feeling tired. My sister live in the next town. She came back a couple of days to visit mom. So I want to spend time with she and her family. Plus a food trip is fun when you're not paying

In the end, I didn't buy anything. It's not even my payday yet, so I try not to buy unnecessary items. I could go again some day.

@prinzcy well, that is also an advantage when we go window-shopping. and it is good to know that you have the attitude of being thrifty and not be a compulsive buyer.
