I work night shift this week. I got back from work, ate breakfast and went to bed. Then my sister knocked on my door. She asked me whether I wanted to tag along with our family outing. After blinking, thinking and fighting back the feeling to return to the bed, I said yes.
After looking at the clock, I realized I only slept for an hour or so. Hah
But since I already promised, I get ready and tag along with them. I won't be driving anyway, her husband would.
It was a journey for food as we went to eat currently famous seasonal food. We had to search for the restaurant using Waze. Then we went to Padang Besar, which is near Malaysia and Thailand border for shopping. It's window shopping for me as my salary is on 5th each month.
Before returning, we even stop at a famous eatery. Wow, we did ate a lot yesterday.
After all the adventure, I slept like a log at 9.
*I tried to upload a picture here but I failed. So no picture then
EDITED this is glutinous rice with mango. The mango is popular as it's the special produce of the state. It only grow during the hottest season, which is why it's a must eat if you're in the area. The last time I wanted to buy one, it cost around RM46/kg. Too expensive....

I just love mangoes when I can get some good ones. Most of the time they are awful as I think they do something to them before they are allowed to enter the country.

@prinzcy I don't know but they used to be so delicious and now they are often rotten and they are very expensive.

@1hopefulman when you can, come visit Asia for a holiday. You can eat a lot for a cheap price. You can try other fruits too.

Glad you had a great meal. I would sleep a long time, after having an hour of sleep.

Sounds like you had lots of fun even though you only got an hour of sleep before the outing.

@prinzcy well, that is also an advantage when we go window-shopping. and it is good to know that you have the attitude of being thrifty and not be a compulsive buyer.

They only let you sleep for one hour! I would have been angry!
You know, I've never had mango.
