Probably going to the hospital this week

I don't know how or when, even though I do know it was yesterday, I hurt my knee and can barely walk today. I am so use to my husband having knee problems as he hurt them playing softball many years ago. After 6 knee surgeries, I am very use to spending time in hospitals with him.
I have no idea of doing anything yesterday but last night after sitting in front of the computer for hours, I almost fell when I got up. There is a lump on the side of the knee cap and I am using a cane to walk today.
I will wait until Monday to go to the doctors if it is still bad. I had problems last year with my other knee as I kept going up and down 2 flights of stairs for two weeks straight while staying at a friends. That took a few months to get better and I hope I can get this one fixed by staying off it.

@AbbyGreenhill Our house is made the same, the three bedrooms on top, the laundry, basement and cellar on the bottom. My doctors tell me all the time that stairs are a great exercise.

@LadyDuck Then you are in much better health than we are to begin with. My husband can hardly catch his breath going up 4 steps and with my bad knee steps are the last thing I want, which is why we own a ranch home.

Stairs are a problem with me. We had a three story home and had to sell it due to the steps. They were hard on my and the laundry was on the bottom floor and our bedroom on the top floor so there was no getting around it.

Oh no, sorry to hear that Nancy! I hope your knee heals and that you don't have anything seriously wrong with it! Did you go to the air show? Could you have put a lot of strain on it from walking around the air show?

@ramapo17 Wow, how nice is that, to be able to see the air show from your yard! Guess that sure beats having to fight traffic!

@moffittjc I mentioned the other day that we didn't see them all day. There were times it was quiet and I couldn't figure it out as I knew it was scheduled for hours. Yesterday in the paper it said there were a lot of parachute jumpers too. I guess that is why we didn't see them sometimes.

@moffittjc We did not go to the air show as we could see everything from our yard.

Thanks. I am going to bed now and have been off it most of the day. I use my husbands cane when I have to walk. I hate not being able to run around like I always do.

I think I would have gone to the ER right away if it was that painful. I have an issue with one knee - I banged it extremely hard when we first moved to TN and I can't knell on it or I scream, so I understand the knew pain - hope you find out what the lumps are.

@AbbyGreenhill Today I was able to walk a little better even though the pain was still there some. I am going to take one day at a time, hopefully it will get better.
