soften butter

Here is something that you can do if you need a stick of butter softened right away and this works because me and my boyfriend has done it and I was surprised how good it worked.

I'll remember this the next time I decide on the spur of the moment to bake Toll House Cookies. I always grow impatient waiting for the butter to soften.

I hate when things like that happen. I hate when we need butter for potatoes and don't have any softened to use.

I'll have to remember this. I put it in the microwave, but usually end up with it melted instead of softened. Thanks!
