I let someone borrow my phone. I now have an awful smell near the mouth piece. I know it sounds crazy but my stomach can't take that smell. I want to know how I could get that out without ruining the phone. Since that hole can leak fluids. I feel like tossing the damn phone in the trash. I don't want to ruin the speaker phone. Please. Thanks very much.

Smear it with Vicks or something. Or put something on your nose so you smell that instead of the smell on the phone.

@sharon6345 .....Did you find something so you don't have to smell the awful smell?

@celticeagle yes if fellow member of my lot suggested Clorox wipes which worked perfectly. I was so afraid of losing the phone that I had just gotten from my mother. I just couldn't understand how my phone got like that over one phone call on my phone. I feel so bad my stomach was so sick. I wanted to vomit but I couldn't explain that sickness while that person was in my home.

A lysol wipe will work. Or even try a baby wipe- that might help.

@sharon6345 They should work. That way you don't get anything in the speaker and it should make the smell go away. Glad I could help.
