Left Alone Again

Sadness overwhelms me today. I can’t seem to shake my misery. After nearly 3 weeks with a house full of teens, (there were only four but they certainly made a “house full”) they have finally gone back to North Carolina to their new home. They left on Friday. Much to my dismay, Becky left this morning to go down and help them unpack. According to her, they need an experienced foreman to tell the boys where to put everything. After all the teen cacophony, and now, with my Beloved gone as well the house has become incredibly silent. The only thing I can here is my own tinnitus. As I’ve said many times before, the only thing I don’t like about my Becky is missing her when she’s gone. It makes me feel so incomplete. I can’t imagine how I would ever live without her.

Just a couple of days, but to me, that's an eternity.

@UncleJoe I'm glad it's not long. My other half has been spending a fair amount of time on the other side of Raleigh lately...I'd rather he was home.

Your house must seem unbearably quiet after all those teens, but cheer up. I'm sure Becky will be back soon.

Actually, the silence is quite bearable after all those teens @DianneN I need the quiet. Yes, Becky got home today. Now she's gone to work.

I can imagine the house must seem very quiet at the moment but don't worry too much. I'm sure Becky will be back soon.

At this age remaining alone is something bad. It really sucks.

Yours is a wonderful love story, Joe. And don't even think about trying to live without her. Just miss her like crazy and give her a great welcome home when she returns! xoxo
