I met my grandfather's first cousin on Facebook

I was surprised to know that I still have a relative and this time a first cousin of my grandfather who had already passed away several years ago. If my grandfather is still living today, he would have been over 100 years old and his living first cousin is only 66 years old. I did not expect it. I received a friend request from her on Facebook but I did not pay any attention to it yet. Then after a few weeks, she sent a message to me asking if I am a relative of the "Matalines". I told her that I am because my great grandmother was a Matalines. She told me that her father was a brother of my great grandmother. It was hard to believe considering that my grandfather was much older than her and old enough to be her grandfather. So she explained to me her family. She told me about her half sister whom I know and I called her half sister as "Lola" meaning Granny or Grandma. I could not believe it really. Her father was already very old when he married her mother. So that explains. We talked so much about our family and we had a great time chatting about our relatives whom we both know. I was happy to know her. She even gave me an assignment to make a family tree of my great grandmother. Hope we can make it soon.
