Today I attended a talk on Breaking the stigma on Mental Health Issues and the talk was really good and informative. There were speakers who shared their different stories and experiences and the entire stories were extremely inspirational and empowering. I learnt some important aspects: 1- Everybody is just rushing here and there but no-one is willing to stop for a while, share, and talk. People are so engrossed in their lives that quality of them in their relationships is getting deteriorated. 2- Insightful connectivity is seems to be lost today. 3- We can break the stigma through making those around ourselves aware, and making them accept and be receptive of whatever issues they are facing. 4- It feels good to talk about anything and everything which is going in our lives be it something good or bad only if there is a listening ear and a warmth acceptance towards it.

Mental Health Issues are not seen as they were in the past in our days, at least we have progressed in this.

Yeah you are right. We have progressed to some extent. In India the stigma is still existing yet yeah it has decreased to some level.

Although the stigma against mental illness in America still exists, I don't think it's as bad as it used to be, which I'm grateful for.
