Weird Money Dream Woke Me Up

Philippines

The scene I remember was at a spa. I just had a massage and was asking how much I have to pay. It was strange that my therapist was a senior male, and he was reluctant to say his rate. A small amount was eventually given, but a middle-aged female therapist was saying it should be higher, and the rate she gave was triple. When I finally went to the cashier and opened my wallet, I was surprised that some of the paper bills were small, like play money. I tried to remember the last time I went to the ATM and how I just folded and stuffed all the money into my wallet because I was in a hurry that time, skipping my usual habit of counting and checking their appearance. Worrying about what to tell the bank when I go to report it and what if they refused to replace it was what woke me up. Did you ever have weird dreams about money? I don't usually remember my dreams, but this one stood out! Did you ever have problems with ATMs? I've heard about a dad in another country who had his toddler with him at the ATM. As soon as the money came out, someone else ran up and grabbed it! Do you get annoyed when people tell you it's up to you to decide how much to pay them? Then you learn later from others that it's too low, or it's too high? Grr! Most massage therapists at spas here are females. Whom would you prefer? I ask too many questions, don't I?

Not really, the questions are just right. We had a problem with an ATM yesterday and it wasn't a dream. It did not dispense money but debited my account. It was a nightmare.

thank you for saying that. i'm just trying to avoid yes-or-no/i agree-i disagree responses and try to make the topic inclusive. i think that happened to me, too, years ago, and it took a week or so before i saw the money again in my account.

@hereandthere You're welcome. We need good discussion starter like the one you posted. As for massage therapists, I prefer the blind ones regardless of gender. Will check my account later and see if the amount has already been credited.

Did you ever have weird dreams about money? No weird dreams about money for me. Did you ever have problems with ATMs? None so far and I intend to keep it that way. Do you get annoyed when people tell you it's up to you to decide how much to pay them? Then you learn later from others that it's too low, or it's too high? Grr! No, I do not get annoyed. I just low ball them. Most massage therapists at spas here are females. Whom would you prefer? Of course, I always prefer female therapists! I ask too many questions, don't I? Yes, you do.

@hereandthere to give a low ball amount is to give a very low, deceptive, and unrealistic offer.

@allen0187 which "offends" them so they're forced to give their actual rates?

a pleasant money dream would be most welcome! hope you stay lucky with atms. what do you mean low ball them, you pay the least amount? some female therapists told me they get really tired when the client is male, much bigger than them, and wants really hard pressure and i feel sorry for them. i guess i try too hard at "quality"? hahaha!

I don't use ATMs, ever. Too many fees. I don't think I've ever dreamed about money, but I do dream about water a lot.

water would be a nice dream. i just read about someone asking about waves of water and the interpreter told her it means something significant is about to happen in her life. most workers are asked to open an atm account at whatever bank the company has an account so they can withdraw their salaries.

For the first I haven't had any such dreams, I don't go to spa, if I do then I would like to have a female therapist. I would prefer spas where there is a fixed price for everything, not that they ask us to pay whatever we wish and then complain about it. Isn't how it should be?

yes, there's a fixed price for all services and they show the list at the entrance, so it was weird. i wouldn't want a male therapist, either, but i've been to one small spa where they have 1 male and 1 female therapist.

I'm sure I've had dreams about money (or lack of it, it's rarely about having too much ) . . . but I can't remember specifically! I've personally never had problems with the ATM, but I have heard a lot of crime stories related to them. It's rare that the price is up to me, but I did have that happen once when my car broke down. The kids were with me, and I was able to get to a local mechanic behind a gas station. He looked over my car and made a simple fix. He was a kind man and even entertained the kids. When I wanted to pay him, he refused, but then said whatever I wanted to give him was fine. He said $5 was fine . . . but I gave him $20. Usually there are no witnesses on my side to tell me whether it's too low or high . I've never been to a spa or had a professional massage! But I do have 2 male friends who studied for it. Ask away, @hereandthere - I don't mind hearing from you!

@hereandthere Oh, is that the machine that scammers install . . . and they can take your identity with it? I've heard stories about that - though it's been a while so I don't know if they've found solutions for that kind of thievery.

our main atm problem here are people putting the skimming devices. i agree he was very kind. i would give him $20 too. it's like you were both at the right place at the right time.

You had some weird dream... And it's even weirder how you remember the details... The only time I had an ATM problem was when it ate my card many years ago. It was at a drive-thru ATM on a weekend. I panicked a little, but then I just contacted the customer service number printed on the ATM machine...

that's the word, i was starting to panic, so i woke up. i don't think i've had an ATM card eaten, because i'm conscious of the 3 strikes rule. if it doesn't recognize the PIN for the 3rd time, the ATM would eat your card. i don't know if it's the same in other countries. there was one atm where i was still putting away my money and didn't get the ATM slip sticking out of the slot. when i finally reached for it, the machine ate it back so i did an account balance again to have a record of how much i have left.

How much do they charge for an hour massage? .. Luckily, I've never had problems with ATMs because I don't use them . And yes.. I get annoyed when people say it's up to me how much I pay them..

a basic full body massage is usually 1 hour and can range from 250 to 350 pesos. then i usually tip 50. i know the "you decide how much" is common here for one-off jobs. but there in oz i guess people have fixed rates.

@hereandthere I get really frustrated over there when people tell me "bahala ka na po" ( i leave it up to you ) everytime I ask them how much they would charge for their service ... Yes here in Australia , we have a set charge .. I guess I have gotten used to the system here .. straight to the point ..

I have found it's best to do some research and know what the going rate is, so you can kinda aim for an average

when it comes to odd jobs, it's hard here because people are reluctant to give any amount. i do need to "research" (ask around) beauty parlors/salons about a hair treatment i'm growing my hair for.

Generally the prices are discussed or on show prior to anything you have otherwise people may make the price up as they go along!

I don't fall anymore for it when people tell me it is up to me what to pay. In the past ever time I give my price they say it is not enough

Yes you ask too many questions, *I don't have a preference male or female for massage, My husband and I are usually in the same room being worked on at the same time... * i usually know what things cost and don't have to ask - it posted right in front of our eyes. "Never had a problem in an ATM *I often have weird dreams about money and lots of other things...fortunately I remember when I wake up but soon forget what it was about.

I have had both male and female massage therapists, but prefer female. I have never dreamed about money, don't use ATMs, and always get the full price from the seller.

I don't remember any money dreams recently but I know I do not like when people leave it up to me to decide how much to pay. I don't want to be way too low and insult the person, but I want a good deal, too
