It turned out well

Sally and I have worked together for hours. She's attended a couple of obedience classes. She's a good girl though a bit got to go! cause after all she is an Australian Cattle Dog and that means get the job done NOW. I took her to Roommate this morning. Sally walked by my left side like she has been taught. The doors of the nursing home wheezed open. We walked as a team down the hall. A lady heading to breakfast wanted to meet Sally so they had a little meet and greet. Once we found the correct room, I let Sally loose. She really had a good time greeting her buddy. She obviously missed Roommate. Roomie wanted her on her bed so I told her: Tell Sally UP! and pat the bed. She did and up zipped Sally. We never got entirely through to a Good Citizens certificate for Sally but she knows her manners. She politely greeted several people before we headed for home. Roomie gave her bits of peanut butter toast. All the hours of learning- me more than her- were worth it. We'll probably go back before Roomie gets out of the nursing home cause having Sally in to say hello did her morale a lot of good.
