Garret Anderson was the stoic anchor of the Angels for 15 seasons. GA played left field during the team’s most successful era including the 2002 World Series championship. A three-time All-Star, he was smooth and steady with a penchant for clutch hits. GA drove in the deciding three runs in Game 7 to clinch the World Series against the San Francisco Giants. There was a four season stretch in which Anderson hit at least 28 home runs and drove in 116 runs. Anderson was inducted into the Angels Hall of Fame. The team let him walk in free agency and left field has been a black hole of futility ever since.
