When my husband was about to retire I had composed a poem on retirement. It was no doubt a time when there would be no activity atleast for sometime. The phones would stop ringing, the hussle and bussle of getting ready for work and such activities would be history. But there is more to retirement and this poem says it all. I have shared this poem at a couple of sites and here is a link for one of them
If there are any seniors around this poem is for them Retirement Bliss Not Blues When retirement age draws near, There lurks an unknown fear,...

@little_infinity There was a typo there. I corrected it now. It said tired instead of retired.

Heya, that is so beautiful. I have never retired as they call it so I donĀ“t know what it means really. For a lot of men it means to them the end and it is just a state of mind until they find themselves again.

One needs to plan for retirement as what the world calls the end it is not so for those who have fertile brain

@allknowing I think that you can plan in some ways but there are always other things that you want to do that you had not planned for before that. Still not retired yet.
