It sure is an insult to democracy when Democratic People's Republic of Korea refers to North Korea, and Republic of Korea refers to South Korea. There is nothing democratic about North Korea.

The less democratic a country is and the term Democratic appears in the full name, I am thinking to the Democratic Republic of Congo now.

North Korea has no right to include Democracy in their name, it's a dictatorship. It's dictator is a twisted, evil, ugly inside and out man who starves his own people so he can live in luxury and decadence. I would love to see the North Korean people freed of this parasite within my lifetime.

@dragon54u North Korea should rightly be called the "Communist North Korea." In that country, the lives of people are worse than a dog. They have no freedom at all.

I think those who named the country did not know the meaning of "democracy".
