There Are Times When Being a Procrastinator Pays Off

I'm not a bona fide procrastinator but I do procrastinate when it comes to certain things. One thing I hate is shopping and dealing with crowds so I put off that task as long as possible until I can't put it off any longer. This time, my procrastination worked in my favor! I don't do individual Easter baskets for my grandchildren anymore. Since they are getting older I now make one big basket for our Easter celebrating and fill it with everyones favorite candies. I buy small chocolate Easter bunnies so everyone has their own but for the rest, it's all arranged in the one basket. I've been talking about going out to buy the candy but never actually got out to do it. Time is running out and I knew the closer we got to Easter the less chance I'd have of finding what I wanted and I'd have to deal with everyone else doing last minute shopping. Last night I went to Walmart online and they had candy on sale and for a $35 purchase the shipping was free. Not only could I easily spend that $35 but they had all the candy I was looking for. This time my procrastination paid off big time. No looking for a parking space, no hunting for the candy I needed and definitely no dealing with a crowded store! Yay for me!!

Last minute candy purchases should be money savers! I got a few bags at Kroger that were on sale. I hid them in the pantry...my husband has become a jellybean fan all of a sudden!

That was a good result. I very rarely shop online, but it seems the way of the future.

I do more and more online which saves time and trouble. With 10 grandkids one basket works fine now and isn't as costly for me either

That's awesome, I do much of my shopping online. I love it being delivered straight to my door. I'm not a shopper either.

I'm becoming less and less of a store shopper especially if I have a lot to buy. I love the convenience of online and delivery right to the front door. No more hauling packages for me

@Marilynda1225 The last 3 Christmas I have bought presents exclusively online, and when you don't shop brick and mortar stores you don't have to go out for lunch, cos when you do you have to go for lunch, I think it's a law or something lol.

I've got mine all bought, I actually did it just after we moved because I feared that it would creep up too quickly and I'd be out shopping when everything was picked over. I'm sure that your family will enjoy what you bought them.

Awesome! They ship to your home? I'm still waiting for that option with Walmart here. It's store pick up only at the moment.

Well, what do you know, sometime procrastinate do pay. That's really good. I also do online shopping once in a while. Sometimes I find way better bargain online and they deliver the items straight to my door. Makes my life easier.
