Walt Disney studios has another hit!

The live action version of "Beauty and the Beast" has just surpassed (in the total sum of the box office around the world) the value of $1 billion dollars. This is monstrous! Will some studio someday outperform Disney?

Are Pixar and Disney together these days? I don't even know. Lion King and Finding Nemo are two of my favorite movies.

I also read this news today! What a surprise that this movie is so successful and popular. It earned about 0.4 billion in USA and nearly 0.6 billion overseas. That's amazing!

Disney has it way up there on the top, having also acquired some Marvel franchise. It's hard to top that at the present, unless some other billionaire shifts a gear and moves into the entertainment business. Yet, Disney has milestones to compete with. It will take some time for another giant to go head on with Disney.

I've heard about that. They might consider doing other movies like it like Cinderella and Pocahontas. I've heard they might do Mulan (without music) too. As for studios, maybe someday. It depends on the movie.

Disney is on a roll but there have been bombs for them over the years. Universal distributes Fate of the Furious which will like be a billion dollar movie.
