A Restful Day

I had to take a day off to rest. I've stayed home and haven't set a foot out any farther than my deck. I did laundry and cleaning early and that was it rather than meals. I put on a pot of soup to simmer early for lunch and made toasted cheese sandwiches and salad for supper.
It was warm and nice outside and there I lay in my swing reading and working word puzzles. I've just about finished the book They May Not Mean
To But They Do. It isn't the best book I've ever read but it wasn't the worst either. I needed rest today but I'll be out as usual tomorrow. I must take a day off now and then. What about you.

This week is spring break for the kids . . . we have been out and about all of the week. But today we had to take a break from that. Well, it's just that we had to get some errands and chores done . . . can't have fun all the time, right? Not exactly resting, but at least having time to spend at home. I got a lot done these past couple hours - maybe we can sleep somewhat early tonight to call it rest!

I need a week off and away from home, room service and tour buses.
I am overworked.
I am glad you took a day to gather strength back.

Sounds like you had a nice relaxing day at home. That is great. I have a three day weekend so I am looking forward to relaxing.

@silvermist no, I'm tired again, I still haven't regained all my energy since my surgery. I tire easily.

Today was a busy day for us. It seems there are not many that are not these days! Glad you got some needed rest and hope you have a great weekend.

Today (Friday), is my day of rest, at least for now. I work four 10's at work (Mon-Thurs), so I have off on Friday-Sunday. Since my two kids are in school on Friday, I use that opportunity as a chance to rest, catch up on sleep, or run a few errands. Or, at this time of year when the weather is beautiful, I will just set up the hammock out back and lay in it and read a book.

@RubyHawk During my busy summer season (i manage Gainesville's municipal swimming pools and all athletic programs), I can sometimes work all 7 days of the week. My job is quite stressful during the summer, and I get very little days off.
With that in mind, I have to make the most of all my days off leading up to summer!

@moffittjc That's bad. Too much work can wear you down. My son used to manage a rec.

It's the opposite with me. I've got to get up once in a while. The last time I stood outside was 2 weeks ago. My CHF acts up and I end up resting most of the time. I just took my meds and they already have me sleepy.
