Three Generations are Off Fishing Today

At 6:30 a.m. my hubs went fishing with our grandson Alex. They were meeting up with our son Steve and his 9-year old daughter Syd. They are going trout fishing. No boat for this foray, they are fishing from shore along Salmon River in the next town, it is a popular spot for trout fishing. I realize it is Good Friday but it is rare for my son and grandson to have a day off during the week and if they want to take Al fishing, I think it is a very good thing and I am sure that God will understand that family is a wonderful thing and smile on them. As for me, I slept until 10:30 after sending hubs off. I think I really needed the sleep. I hope everyone is having a blessed Good Friday and that all Christians are remembering that someone very special loved us enough to die for us so many years ago. Without today, there could be no Easter Sunday. Sorry, I don't usually get too religious but this is the holiest day of the year for Christians and I wanted to acknowledge that.

I love to hear family is fishing together...we loved to fish in Kansas and our children learned how to fish here in Canada. I did next to nothing yesterday and loved every moment of it...

Having a down day is such a luxury usually but since I got sick I am lazing around way too much and I can't wait to feel like myself again.

You are so right and it is the holiest day and a day of remembering what Christ sacrificed for all of us. Family dropped in so I wasn't able to go to the service in the afternoon. A solemn day as Easter Sunday is joyful!

Let as know if they catch any actually the day is just for remembrance of the sacrifice, the Lord has already risen and the prophecy fulfilled, that is why Easter is just as important for us.
