News about the Fire on I 85

I read in the Atlanta Journal that attorneys in Atlanta have gathered around to represent the homeless man who was accused of setting fire to construction products under I 85. People feel like the homeless man is being railroaded because he is poor and homeless with nobody to support him. I have had that suspicion myself. It's a quick way to solve the case and who cares if a homeless man goes to prison. But thank goodness we have attorneys who care about fairness more than money. We don't actually know if he's innocent or guilty but now he will be represented and have a chance in the court of law. I read that for the money that will be spent building the Great Wall every homeless person in America could be housed and receive help to find a job and be self supporting. What is your opinion.

I agree with you although the thought crosses my mind that the homeless man might be better off in jail. At least he'd have a roof and three square meals a day - but I'm sure he'd rather be free. I'm glad someone is standing up to those who just want a quick fix.

Public defenders usually don't try very hard and I don't believe anyone wants to be locked up. Prisons are dangerous places.

That's something about the cost. I'm glad he will get the same chance as any other person. God bless those lawyers.

We still have a lot of good people in the world, though sometimes we might doubt it.

That's good that attorneys aren't all money grabbing as they are sometimes portrayed.

The wall is a ridiculous idea, so much good could be done with the money. Goes to show some lawyers try to do the right thing.

That was a good move by the lawyers. How else would a homeless man get a good attorney?

He wouldn't. Court appointed representatives usually don't give a hoot.
